Welcome to my Early Iris, part of my Iris collection! The Early Iris, soft pink in color, likes to come out after any hint of freeze is gone, it is now dependably summer. Stately and delicate, the Early Iris loves to reassure us that all is well in the world.
This collection evolved over the course of several months, so matching paint palette wasn’t really one of my goals. I simply wanted to capture the joy and magic of Irises in all of their early summer glory. I’ve always loved gardens, and Irises are always the flashiest flowers in June, aren’t they? My mom had a collection of Irises in her garden when I was young, and I’ve patterned the color patterns after these.
This Glicee print is printed on lovely, thick, acid free paper that feels much like water color paper. It absorbs the ink colors in such a way that the print takes on a life of its own. Soft, yet stark, vibrant and bold, the paper and ink makes the print!
All of my Glicee prints are signed, numbered and carefully packaged. All prints are 350DPI printed with Archival Ink and Acid Free Paper.
When buying the print only, prints are made for an 10x20” frame. Image size is 9x18”, so look for a mat with an opening of 8.5x17.5” for the best fit. Custom Mats can be found online.
Frames are thin, black, and prints are matted. I prefer not to ship glass through the mail; my art looks better without the glass anyway. If you must have glass, please e-mail your request. I will add it (plexiglass for items over 11x14”).
Framed, matted prints are ready to hang directly out of the package without any fuss! How fun is that!? Enjoy!
